Area NFL teams shift in national exposure - The 49ers have lofty expectations for themselves in 2007, and judging from the number of times they will appear on national television, the NFL does, too.

With map in hand Broncos' quest can be charted - From here to there. From September to December and beyond, that's where the Broncos want to go. And after a 9-7 playoff miss in 2006, one that included a rather ugly stumble in the season finale against the San Francisco 49ers - coach Mike Shanahan repeatedly has said that loss was "embarrassing"- the Broncos got their map for 2007 on Wednesday.

Niners draft prospectus: Profiling some sleepers - As mentioned last week in my San Francisco 49ers draft prospectus, many football Web sites talk about well-known prospects, but very few profile the small-school, late-round prospects who are unknown to casual fans. In order to buck that trend, I have undertaken the task of bringing these players to the forefront, all of whom could be good fits for the 49ers.

49ers slated for four prime-time games in 2007 - The NFL lifted the veil from the season schedule today, and the early impression is that the 49ers' road to the playoffs is top heavy. Four of the first five games - on paper at least - look like they will be very tough wins; four of the final five shouldn't be as difficult.
