New York Jets

Giants
Stadium. I’m sure the Jets are just peachy with that name.
FAI Nuggets:
- They chose the name Jets to rhyme with the other cataclysmic failures in the
NY/NJ area - the Nets and the Mets.
- Primarily subhuman filth masquerading as a football team. Not that we're biased.
- Greatest moment in franchise history was their improbable win in Super Bowl III,
led by a pantyhose-wearing drunken yahoo named Joe Namath
- Yeah, basically irrelevant in every respect since 1969. We're only sayin.

Dolphins' Porter is marked man - That is why the Dolphins' brass should intervene before Goodell has the opportunity and suspend Porter for a game or two for his attack on Levi Jones. Sure, it would hurt to be without Porter against the Washington Redskins and potentially the Dallas Cowboys. What would hurt even more is to be without Porter's services against the New York Jets, Oakland Raiders, Houston Texans and Cleveland Browns as well.
How the Giants, Jets stack up - Taking a close look at the schedules for both teams
The competition for fans' attention is as intense in New York as in any other market in the country, which explains why the releasing of the NFL schedules passes each year rather quietly.
Andrews visits Jets - Stacy Andrews, a Bengals restricted free agent, is visiting the New York Jets today. Andrews arrived in New York Monday night for a visit tied to that of Patriots cornerback Randall Gay.
Backfield shift offseason story - One of the defining aspects of this offseason has been the shuffling of running backs across the league, as eight top runners from 2006 will be carrying the ball for new teams: Tatum Bell (Detroit), Reuben Droughns (New York Giants), Ahman Green (Houston), Travis Henry (Denver), Thomas Jones (New York Jets), Jamal Lewis (Cleveland), Willis McGahee (Baltimore), and Dominic Rhodes (Oakland).
Cornerback Gay to visit Jets - The New York Jets are scheduled to host Patriots cornerback Randall Gay on a free agent visit that starts tonight and extends through tomorrow.
