Selection:
Position: WR
School: Western Mich
Year: SR
Height: 5-11
Weight: 197
High School: Central (Kalamazoo, Michigan)
Became first player in 17 years for Western Michigan to earn a spot on an AP
All-America squad, landing on the third team after a senior season in which
he was also named the Offensive Player of the Year in the Mid-American
Conference...Jennings finished the regular season in 2005 owning school
records for the Broncos with 238 catches, 39 receiving touchdowns and 5,050
all-purpose yards...Also holds single-season school marks with 98 receptions,
14 touchdowns and 1,259 yards...Jennings led the country in catches per game
with just under nine per outing and was second in touchdowns and yards per
game (114.5 ypg)...Was an All-MAC First Team choice as a junior when he
posted five 100-yard receiving games and had touchdown catches in six
straight outings...Jennings made a huge splash as a sophomore in 2003 when he
made the All-MAC Second Team by leading the Broncos in TD receptions (14),
receiving yards (1,050) and yards per catch (18.8)...Stayed close to home in
Kalamazoo where he was a three-sport star in high school (football,
basketball, track), but as far as the pros are concerned, Jennings doesn't
have the size that would make him a great receiver...Needs to get stronger
and be more physical if he hopes to even make it as a third receiver on most
teams in the NFL.
